Wonder Woman at the March for Our Lives

It was a powerful experience to march as a daughter, mother, and now grandmother with & for the student-led March for Our Lives. The most moving moments were always all about the kids- posters of the “school picture” of the slain, pictures that every parent remembers and saves for the 13-year sequence of school, never imagining that the series would end in first or sixth or tenth grade. One image that sticks in my mind was a little 3-yr-old in her Wonder Woman costume, twirling and dancing on the sidewalk perimeter. Her understanding of womanhood was so purely strong and confident. The world is changing and now that role is a possibility for her. May she persist!
