Being a teenage girl is hard. Every day you are faced with the judgment of your classmates, boys, teachers, coaches, parents, strangers. Being a girl in high school you are faced with the degradation of boys. I know in my own experience many boys have treated me as if I am less than they are. As if my opinions don’t mean as much. As if what they have to say is more important. As if they can tell you what to do. In my own experience I also find favoritism amongst boys sports in high school. Most funding will go towards new football jerseys or renovations of baseball fields. Throughout my high school experience, women haven’t been treated as equally as they should be.
This story or movement is inspiring to see that women shouldn’t have to hide under a dress to seem feminine. We are just has strong and empowered has men are.
