I am a survivor of Officer Involved Domestic Violence. My executive law enforcement husband ( X- spouse now), tried to murder me, raped me, and physically assaulted me during the 1 year marriage. As soon as I could stand, walk and drive- I escaped, and have been invisible for about 6 years. Because of the “Blue Boys Club” they never even investigated. As a survivor of OIDV: I have spoken out from under my cloak of invisibility to DV advocates, case managers, and wrote my escape story anonomously- donating to therapists, activists, and Advocates- to educate about the epidemic of domestic violence in the hopes of helping other women make their own exit strategy, and to effect change in legislature and enforcement. I may be invisible, but I still have a voice!!!
