I am teaching an all girls single gender class in a public school. They are 4th-grade girls from low-income families.
I am trying to empower them. We talk about how some girls in other countries do not even get to go to school. We’ve studied Malala and the stand she took for education.
I am going to show them Hidden Figures, the movie, and the Girl Rising documentary. They are feeling confident in their academics and their self-esteem is soaring.
I would love to have some resources for our classroom like posters, and overlays for the bathroom sign and stickers to give them.
I also have a 4-year old daughter of my own.
