Much like the Rihanna song, Diamonds, being the only girl in a 400 level computer science class made me shine bright like a diamond. I currently a junior in college and last semester I am taking a 400 level class where I am the only girl in that class. Instead of feeling down on that I am the only girl in that class, I felt high on adrenaline. It pushed me forward and made me work extra hard in that class. Even though there aren’t a lot of us women out there in the STEM fields, we are changing the world one women at a time. The kicker is I had the highest grade in the class.
