Sexism in STEM. 3rd grade experience.

I love robots, my VEX robotics team went to the World competition this year and won a award, but It wasn’t always this way for me I have had to deal with sexism for a long time. When I was little my parents sent me to a Lego robotics camp along with my friend, but the people who were running the camp let the boys play with the robots, build and program, while we were left out. I didn’t understand why this was happening, why did the boys get to have fun and build robots while we had to sit out? It didn’t make sense, let’s be honest sexism is dumb, and stereotypes are even worse. I hope that someday, things like this will not happen anymore.
