My mom has always been someone I have looked up to my entire life and she was always the one in my family to work. She was a manager for years and years at a phone company. They laid her off for something the men did, but since she was a girl, they found this as more of a reason to get rid of her.
She is now happily at a new job making six figures. At her current company, it doesn’t matter if you are a man or a women (or anything else), she gets the same amount of respect as the men. She makes me very happy and gives me the motivation to know that even if you are looked down upon and not treated equal for being female, you should never let that get to you.
