My journey via feminism

I was a single mom in small town Ohio in the 1960s when I was introduced to feminism and attended consciousness raising sessions. In 1972 I got into the streets with my NOW chapter demanding equal rights for women.

We were so hopeful that we would get the ERA passed & ratified. We did see it pass however it has still not been ratified by 38 states so I’m still in the streets at every opportunity demanding full ratification and recognition of the value women bring to society.

This week I celebrated my 80th birthday and will not stop demanding what is rightfully mine, and what our society will benefit from, until the ERA is ratified or until I have ceased to breath.
