I work for a large Fortune 100 company in the internal IT organization. We are an engineering organization that is VERY process- and waterfall-centered that needed to change to stay relevant. Over the course of one year, we took our traditional waterfall project managers, gave them some rudimentary Agile training and placed them as Scrum Masters on Agile teams. The transformation was slow at first, but after a few quarterly cycles, the results have been dramatic — we are now developing new services is weeks rather than the 10-12 month historical measure! I want to empower the women on our teams to see that Agile and “Girl Power” can make a difference even on the Titanic!
