Increase Your Confidence: Turn Your Inner Critic into Your Inner Champion
Hilary Weber, Founder of Opportu
Negative self-talk, also known as the “Inner Critic”, is one of the most pervasive and limiting forces in people’s lives (especially for women), yet very few know how to deal with it or are even fully conscious of the huge impact it has on them. In this interactive workshop, Hilary Weber will take each participant and the group as a whole through a personalized, powerful, hands-on workshop that will enable a first big step toward “reprogramming” your Inner Critic to be your biggest, most loyal supporter.

Participants will explore how to help organizations and people (causes and concerns) glean the attention they need to make a difference in the world. Through fun (and conscious) publicity stunts, girls will break into small groups to create their own media worthy stunt for a good cause!
"Idea Creation" & Closing Remarks
Lawdan Shojaee, CEO of Axosoft
What kind of STEAM club do you want to start? Why is it important to you? Why is it important to other girls at your school? This is your chance to come up with a new club or after-school program and learn how to turn it into a reality!

Identity Molecule: Breaking Stereotypes
Melissa Medvin, Associate Director of Arizona Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League
The Anti-Defamation League’s anti-bias education model starts with building identity, moves into examining bias, then confronting bias. This workshop is a stepping-stone in the development, and understanding, of identity. Girls will learn who they are and why they matter in the world.
Personal Brand Building
Sara Breeding, Marketing Unicorn at Axosoft
Everyone has a personal brand, each message you put out into the world is a chance to shape that brand. Sara will address the longevity and responsibility of using social media to build your personal brand. She will talk about her own experiences, weave in Dos and Don’ts and then show examples of people in the public eye who have used social media in both ways.

Writing a Request Letter
Lawdan Shojaee, CEO of Axosoft

Listen Up! I’ve Got an Awesome Idea!
Tania Katan, Curator of Code at Axosoft
Have you ever wanted to shout to your teachers, parents, or well-meaning adults, “LISTEN UP! I’ve got an awesome idea!”? In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to find–and use–your voice in order to get adults to listen to your important ideas and support them!

Wearable Tech Workshop: Do-It-Together Cape Creation
Hilary Harp, Associate Professor of Sculpture at Arizona State University
Hilary Harp will use curriculum provided by Jessica Rajko, an interdisciplinary digital media artist and professor at Arizona State University’s School of Film, Dance and Theatre, to help the girls create wearable technology. In this hands on workshop each girl will design a cape that lights up using LEDs to find, and claim, their inner superhero!

Entrepreneurship: Creating a Plan for STEAM Education
Lawdan Shojaee, CEO of Axosoft
Show your teacher you did your homework and present her/him with statistics, stories, and websites of schools who have implemented STEAM clubs and organizations successfully! Maybe there’s a school where two girls started the Science of Art Club and now students’ test scores in Science and Art are off the charts! You will leave this conference with confidence and concrete examples of how to put together a Presentation, Business Plan, Pitch, and an understanding of Why all of this is so important in the world! And, just like adult entrepreneurs who are forging new paths and need a little help sometimes, you’ll have an Advisory Board made up of community-leaders who will give you advice, answer questions, and check in with you throughout the school-year.
